Architecture
Art deco was an art movement that arose after World War I. Stylistically it was modern and decorative. It was heavily influence by a variety of avant-garde painting styles of the period including abstractionism, futurism and constructivism. The artwork was characterized by the use of simplified geometric shapes and strong colors.
